VISION

The LCJ Youth Empowerment Center (LCJ) is a comprehensive center where at risk youth are provided with a variety of activities geared toward enhancing their social and physical skills while at the same time receiving the academic support necessary to assist in their educational progress at school.  Along with other tools, LCJ uses the same principles and core values learned from working together in team and individual sports, the visual and performing arts, and Leadership workshops to promote and help develop good character traits, confidence, pride, compassion and resilience in students of all abilities.  Our ultimate goal is to be a beacon that helps to guide our youth in growing into positive and productive members of their communities now and in the future. 

To paraphrase a famous NIKE commercial, “Greatness is not a gift that is reserved for a chosen few.  Greatness is in all of us.”  The problem for many kids without resources and without direction is that they cannot imagine the greatness that they possess within themselves.  At LCJ, our goal is help these kids find their own individual greatness in their life’s journey to reaching their true potential.  We believe that all kids deserve the chance to become the best that they can be.
